Travel Grants for ACT Uni Teams to Aus Champs - 30 Sept/1 Oct - EOIs due by 15 September
Each year the Australian Rogaining Association hosts the Intervarsity Rogaining Champs to find Australia's best university student rogainers.
The Nigel Aylott Memorial Sports Foundation (NAMSF) sponsors the competition with a perpetual trophy and travel subsidies.
We are now putting the call out for uni teams interested in representing the ACT at this event who would like to apply for a travel subsidy. Travel subsidy for this event will be free seats on the event bus from Canberra.

We know that the Aus Champs clashes with the Inward Bound event this year - but we hope there are some university teams that will be making the journey to Goobang to compete.
Students must be enrolled at a tertiary education institution recognised by UniSport Australia and teams consist of 2-5 students from the same university. Both part-time and full-time students are eligible. There is no age restriction, ie. under-graduate, mature age and post-graduate students qualify.
Winter 4 hr - Sunday 2 July

The Winter 4 hour rogaine was at Blue Range in the foothills of the Brindabellas. A mix of native and pine forest, with a bit of open area around the historic Sherwood Homestead site, with lots of fire trails and trail bike tracks to speed you up. Setter Mary Adams doesn't like blackberries so carefully avoided the patches of those in setting the course.
Cross-border Metrogaine 6 hour

Entries are now open for the ACT Cross-border 6 hour Metrogaine, which has been set to make the most of the reserves, residential and commercial areas of Queanbeyan and Jerrabomberra, just on the other side of the ACT/NSW border. We have been able to secure the Queabeyan Showground for the Hash House site, so you can look forward to some indoor comforts as you plan your route and enjoy Hartley's catering after the event.
Entry fees are $26 regular and $21 concession, and solo entries are permitted. Sign up before Monday 31 July to avoid the late fees, otherwise entries close at midnight on Wednesday 2 August.
Four Reserves Virtualgaine last day Monday 12 June
The Four Reserves Virtualgaine is local with a mix of bush and street, free and you can do the event as many times as you want. Optimise your route to see if you can clear the course in the 4 hour time limit or explore in different directions.
The event runs Saturday 27 May to Monday 12 June inclusive but the course will still be available on MapRun after that time.
Check out the event page for details, formally enter if you want to be part of the results and tell your friends about it. Teslin copies of the map will be available in Paddy Pallin's (Lonsdale St, Civic) from Tuesday until they run out.
