The 2025 Spring 6 and 12 hour Bondo rogaines were held at Bondo State Forest, west of Canberra between Brindabella and Tumut, NSW on Saturday 15 November.
The weather was mixed with lovely sunshine but a couple of thunderstorms coming past and one giving everyone a good drenching which cooled things down nicely.
The 6 hour event was won by mens open team Sergey Pikuz and Etienne Gautier with 1660 points with mens junior team Ross Wilkinson and Matt Maundrell second on 1360 and mixed open winners Duncan Loane, Simon Little, Sophie Halliday and Matt Rodier in third on 1070. Ella Osborne and Anika Gobel won womens open with 750 points - it was Anika's first rogaine!
The 12 hour event was won by mens open team Ivan Koudashev and Andrew Brown who got around all the controls with 2860 points with less than 45 minutes to spare. In second were mixed open team Ryan Stocks and Chloe Woodburn with 2800 points and third was Gill Fowler and Phil Whitten with 2640 points. Womens open was won by Nicole Mealing and Lauren Curtis with 1940 points.

As you read this your legs still may be itching as the blackberry scratches heal, but that doesn't mean the 2025 Night/Day/Cyclegaine wasn't a great event, especially for the many first time rogainers who are training for ANU Inward Bound. Many thanks must go out to the Inward Bound Committee who provided the bulk of volunteers, and to Hartley Lifecare who fed many hungry rogainers with their usual high standard of catering.
Natali Heil Koerbel hosted an excellent event, with Jackson Jolly and Ben Grace setting the course. Route planning was key to success, with the course setters deviously placing a concentration of high value controls in the far reaches of the map in what can only be described as the rogaining equivalent of the sweet nectar bait found in carnivorous plants.
Congratulations to Caleb, Sebastian and Brad Addison who were the overall winners of the day foot rogaine, Cathy Hogg and Rohan Hyslop winning the day cyclegaine, and Brad Carron-Arthur and Ryan Stocks winning the night rogaine. Full resulst via the event page.
Good luck to all the Inward Bound runners for the race next month, we hope to see you back!
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the Tallaganda Boulders rogaine a great success. The rain even kept away till after the results had been announced and the gear was packed away in record time. Overall winners were Susie Sprague, Selina Stoute and Heather Logie. Second overall were women's youth team Sophie Radajewski and Natalie Miller so the girls ruled the roost.
