The Winter 4 hr event was held in the east Kowen Forest, a favourite rogaining area.
There were fast fire trails, tall or very short pine areas, some open grassland, a smattering of native vegetation and a bit of history. The weather was a perfect fine winter's day revealing fantastic views of the Brindabellas, as well as lots of frosty patches and frozen puddles.
The Hash House was located at the end of Sparrow Hill Road, approximately 10-12 km from Queanbeyan via the Kings Highway. The event started at 10:30am on Sunday the 19th of July and finished at 2:30pm. Thank you to the team from Hartley Lifecare for providing lunch, including the essential cheese toastie.
