DESCRIPTION:We are heading to the Belconnen region for the 2026 Realm of the Owl virtua
lgaine. The event start/finish (aka Hash House) is behind the CIT Bruce Cam
pus. The start location is at the entrance to Bruce Ridge Nature Reserve, o
ff Purdie Street, near CIT. This is shown as a triangle near the centre of
the map. There is ample free parking in the CIT car park. \n

The event course will be open for you between Sa
turday 23 May and the end of Monday 8 June 2026. That gives you two weeks a
nd three weekends, two of which are long weekends as well as other times to
have a go at the course. \n
Scoring in a virtual rogaine works using MapRu
n (https://maprunners.weebly.com/) on your phone. Please download and read
these instructions (images/MapRun%20Instructions%202026.pdf)on using MapRu
n to learn how to use the App. The App uses the GPS on your phone to work o
ut you are at the control location. To score a control you will need to be
within 10-15 m of the feature. Check your detailed control descriptions as
there are no flags. The MapRun App will show the map on your phone screen b
ut if you prefer to be able to see the whole map, there will be a link on t
his page before the event to download and print your own copy. \n
Copies of
the map on Teslin paper (waterproof) will be available in Paddy Pallin's (
Lonsdale Street, Civic) from Thursday 21 May. \n
