 022-Events/2022-Ainslie-Majura-3-hr-rogaine)\n
\n
Thanks to everybody who t
urned up for our first rogaine of the year on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon
. It was a tough course with plenty of route options available. With over 3
50 participants, many of which were first-timers, it was a great way to kic
 k off the ACT calendar.\n
Take some time to have a look through some of th
 e photos here (https://hardingjohn.smugmug.com/Sports/Orienteering/19-Febru
 ary-2022-Ainslie-Majura-3-hr-rogaine/) taken by Photography extroadinaire,
 John Harding.\n
Congratulations to Susie Sprague and Selina Stoute who took
out the Womens category, while Tom and Keira Banks took out the Mixed cate
gory. Overall winners and winners in the Mens category were Ryan and David
Stocks with Martin Dent and Owen Radejewski a close second. See the full re
 sults via the link below.\n
 \n
We look forward to seeing you all at the Pa
ddy Pallin in a couple of weeks time along with the AGM straight after!\n

Final Instructions\n
Thank you for entering the 2022 Twiligh
t 3 Hour. Team leaders, make sure that everyone on your team reads this who
 le document carefully. \n
Important\n
Parking is limited in the carpark and
on the surrounding streets, so please consider carpooling where possible.\
 n
COVID-19 Measures\n

If you have recently returned from overseas, or if y
ou have travelled from a known COVID-19 ‘hotspot’ without a designated peri
od of quarantine/isolation; or if you are awaiting the result of a COVID-19
test; or if you are feeling unwell, or have flu-like symptoms, please stay
  home.
We will be using the Check In CBR app for this event.  Posters will
be displayed at the Hash House. Please ensure you have checked in.
We have
tried to make this event as contact-free as possible. There will be no pri
ze ceremony, and gloved organisers will also be handing out/collecting maps
and tags with as few touches as possible. Please drop your team-numbered f
light plan directly into the box provided. Touch points at the toilets will
  be cleaned regularly.
Please maintain a safe 1.5m distance from other tea
ms at all times - including while doing your route planning, at the briefin
gs, at the start and finish, and when approaching controls.
We have made t
he navlights hands-free by strapping them to the same feature as the contro
l flag, mounted perpendicular to the feature and ready to use without needi
ng to touch it with your hands - just present your navlight wrist tag to th
e reader so the navlight flashes in the usual way.

Indemnity Form\n
Please
bring to the event a printed and completed indemnity form located here (im
ages/ACTRA_INDEMNITY_AND_RELEASE_standard.pdf). Check the team list for you
r relevant event on the home page to ensure that all details for your team
including category are correct. If incorrect, please contact the Event Cont
act prior to the event. \n

Ensure that all team members sign a separate in
demnity form. Parents or guardians must sign for people under 18. Also prov
ide registration number(s) of your car(s) at the Hash House. Be sure to put
your team number on the form.
Present your completed indemnity form at th
 e registration desk.
Medical advice: All competitors should consider advisi
ng their partner of any pre-existing medical conditions (such as diabetes,
asthma, epilepsy, susceptibility to anaphylaxis) that may require first-aid
action on course. This should include a description of the symptoms, the r
equired first-aid action, and the location in their bag of any medication (
such as sugar, ventolin, epi-pen, anti-histamines).

How to Get There\n
The
Hash House is located at the carpark at the corner of Philip Avenue and Ke
 llaway Street in Hackett. \n
From civic, drive north along Northbourne aven
ue and turn right onto Philip avenue and follow to the end of the road.\n

the flight plan and hand it in before starting. \n
Map and Course Details\n

There will be one A4 map (210x297mm), 1:25,000 with 10 m contour interval.
Magnetic north lines are marked on the map. Out of bounds areas are marked
in grey and pink shading. It contains mainly native bush with small areas
of cleared land. The course setters notes and control descriptions have bee
n printed on the back. The altitude ranges from approximately 600 to 850 m.
  \n
Pink areas have been marked separately to the grey areas as they contai
n a number of rare plants that have regenerated with all the recent rain. Y
ou must not go off track in these areas; however, if a marked track goes th
rough the pink areas, you are allowed to pass through along the track. \n
T
he map is printed on Teslin paper which is very tough and generally does no
t need to be covered in contact. \n
Due to large rainfall, there is a lot o
f long grass on course so gaiters and/or long pants are highly recommended.
  \n
Water\n
Please bring enough water for Hash House use and for at least 3
hours on course. There are no water drops on course; however there is a wa
ter fountain at the top of Ainslie. We do not recommend drinking any water
found on course without sterilisation. \n

Hartley Lifec
are will provide a basic spread of cakes, fruit and cordial at 19:00. Pleas
e bring your own plate, bowl, cup and cutlery.\n
