 ’s Night and Day/Cycle events will be in scenic Tallaganda State Forest, ju
 st hour east of Canberra. Rogainers can expect a 50:50 mix of pine and nati
 ve forest, with a course designed for all levels of experience. Camping wil
 l be available at the Hash House, so why not do the night then day event?</
 p><p><strong>Key information:</strong></p><p><strong>When:&nbsp;</strong>Ni
 ght 5 hour – Saturday 19 September, 5pm-10pm</p><p>Day Foot or Cycle 6 hour
  – Sunday 20 September, 9am-3pm</p><p><strong>Where:&nbsp;</strong>The Hash
  House will be at the intersection of Lowden Road and Coxes creek road.&nbs
 p;</p><p><strong>How to get there:&nbsp;</strong>You MUST go via Bungendore
 , the most direct roads are closed for bridgeworks. Roads from Bungendore a

 nbsp;5pm sharp&nbsp;on Saturday, 19 September, with a final briefing at&nbs
 p;4:50pm. Registration will open at 2:30pm.</p><p>The&nbsp;day and cycle ev
 ent will commence by way of a mass start at&nbsp;9am sharp&nbsp;on Sunday 2
 0 September, with a final briefing at&nbsp;8:50am. Registration will open a
 t 7am.</p><p>To register, one person only per team to register and collect 
 maps. That person will need to:</p><ul><li aria-level="1">Bring first aid k
 it, so that it can be checked; see below for what it must contain</li><li a
 ria-level="1">Bring one completed indemnity form per team member</li></ul><
 p>Electronic scoring:&nbsp;As this event is using the Navlight system of sc
 oring, each team member will be issued with a wristband and tag upon regist
 ration.</p><p>You will also be given pre-marked maps, control descriptions,
  course setter's notes and a small copy of the map to be used as a flight p
 lan. We recommend that you arrive at least an hour prior to the start of th
 e event to allow enough time for final preparations and route planning. Eac
 h team must mark their intended route on the flight plan and hand it in bef
 ore starting.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Map and Co
 urse Details</span></strong></p><p>There will be one A3 map (297x420mm), 1:
 25,000 with 10 m contour interval. Magnetic north lines are marked on the m
 ap. Out of bounds areas are marked in pink shading. It contains mainly nati
 ve bush and pine forest. The course setters notes and control descriptions 
 have been printed on the back. The altitude ranges from approximately 900 t
 o 1300 m.&nbsp;</p><p>The map is printed on Teslin paper which is very toug
 h and generally does not need to be covered in contact.&nbsp;</p><p>Travel 
 can vary from very fast in areas of flat, open forest to very slow on steep
 er slopes of dense vegetation. Pine plantations are in various stages from 
 relatively recently logged to dense and almost impassable.</p><p>Lawyer vin
 e occurs throughout the course. The vine produces long canes which can be t
 hin, tough and have nasty small thorns that cause cuts.</p><p><span style="
 font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Water</strong></span></p><p>Please bring enough w
 ater for Hash House use and for at least&nbsp;3 hours&nbsp;on course. There
  are 2 water drops on course. At each water drop there is a pump that screw
 s into the top of the water container to use. We do not recommend drinking 
 any water found on course without sterilisation. There is likely to be wate
 r in the larger creeks.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">
 Camping</span></strong></p><p>Camping is available at the hash house. When 
 you arrive, please indicate to the marshal if you are planning on camping a
 nd you will be directed to the dedicated camping area.</p><p><span style="f

 fecare will provide a meal at 30 minutes before the end of each event. Plea

 a-level="1">The only navigational aids permitted are the maps we provide to
 gether with your compasses.</li><li aria-level="1">Teams consist of 2 to 5 
 competitors and must remain within earshot of each other at all times. All 
 members must simultaneously get to within 5m of each control point.</li><li
  aria-level="1">All team members must punch their Navlight tags at each con
 trol to score points.</li><li aria-level="1">If a Navlight punch has failed
 , record the three letter code visible inside the end of the punch.</li><li
  aria-level="1">Competitors must not enter out-of-bounds areas; gates must 
 be left as found; stock must not be disturbed.</li><li aria-level="1">The o
 rganisers may disqualify a team if it acts against these rules or against t
 he spirit of the event.</li><li aria-level="1">A team can retire a member a
 t the hash house. This will finish that team's event. A new team can form b

 ><strong>Summary of Event Rules and Scoring</strong></span></p><ul><li aria
 -level="1">The only navigational aids permitted are the maps we provide tog
 ether with your compasses.</li><li aria-level="1">Teams consist of 2 to 5 c
 ompetitors and must remain within earshot of each other at all times. All m
 embers must simultaneously get to within 5m of each control point.</li><li 
 aria-level="1">All team members must punch their Navlight tags at each cont
 rol to score points.</li><li aria-level="1">If a Navlight punch has failed,
  record the three letter code visible inside the end of the punch.</li><li 
 aria-level="1">Competitors must not enter out-of-bounds areas; gates must b
 e left as found; stock must not be disturbed.</li><li aria-level="1">The or
 ganisers may disqualify a team if it acts against these rules or against th
 e spirit of the event.</li><li aria-level="1">A team can retire a member at
  the hash house. This will finish that team's event. A new team can form bu
 t it must start with zero score.</li><li aria-level="1">Late Penalty: 10 po
 ints per minute (or part) late. Disqualification if more than 30 minutes la
 te.</li><li aria-level="1">If teams score equal points then the first team 
 home will have a higher rank.</li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><s
 trong>Presentation and Awards</strong></span></p><p>Food and drinks will be
  available from half an hour before the end of each event. Please bring you
 r own plate and utensils.&nbsp;</p><p>Prizes will be awarded to the winners
  of each category and certificates to the place-getters of most categories.
  This is dependent on final numbers and will be announced on the day. Prese
 ntations will take place around 45 minutes after the end of the event.&nbsp
