\n
  \n
The 2025 4 hour Winter 'Tallaganda Boulders'
rogaine will be held in Tallaganda National Park, off Forbes Creek Road. T
he area features some fantastic bush rogaining territory through the northe
rn areas of Tallaganda National Park, about an hour east of Canberra. \n
Th
e course largely consists of native forest, with a few hilly sections and s
ome beautiful creeks throughout. Altitude ranges from about 900m to 1,200m.
The course has been designed with novice loops that use the well-defined f
eatures, and more challenging loops for those looking for a physical and na
vigational challenge. We are delighted to announce that Hartley Lifecare is
  catering this event.\n
The start of the events will be 10am on Sunday the
6th of July, concluding at 2pm.\n
Entries cost $45 full and $36 concession.
Under 14 free. No solo entries for this event - teams of 2 to 5 people.\n

Entries are open now, closing at 11:59 pm Sunday the 29th June without late
fees. Entries received between then and complete close at 11:59 pm on Wedn
esday the 2nd of July will incur a late fee of $10 per person.\n
If you nee
d a partner, contact the event organiser with your category and level of co
mpetitiveness for the event. The event organiser will match people up where
possible but we make no guarantees and recommend you keep asking around pe
 ople you know.\n
Parking is very limited, so PLEASE try and organise car sh
aring within your team and perhaps take another team. \n
\n
 \n
Final Instr
 uctions\n
Thank you for entering the Tallaganda Boulders, 2025 ACTRA Winter
4 hour rogaine. Team leaders, make sure that everyone on your team reads t
 his whole document carefully. \n
Important\n
Parking is very limited so ple
ase organise car pooling so there is only one car per team (or better). It
is likely that parking may be on boggy/wet ground. We recommended AWDs/4WDs
if you have that option available to you, particularly if we get much rain
in the week leading up to the event.\n
We are also still after more volunt
eers on the day and for control collection post the event. If you are able
to help, please contact Daniel Harvey (about-us/committee/27-daniel-harvey.
 html).\n
 \n
Indemnity Form\n
Please bring to the event a printed and compl
eted indemnity form located here (images/ACTRA_INDEMNITY_AND_RELEASE_standa
rd.pdf). Check the team list (link above) to ensure that all details for yo
ur team including category are correct. If incorrect, please contact  (mail
to:rogaine.mail@gmail.com)This email address is being protected from spambo
ts. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by Thursday, if possible. \n

\
n - Ensure that all team members sign a separate indemnity form. Parents or
guardians must sign for people under 18. Also provide registration number(
 s) of your car(s) at the Hash House. Be sure to put your team number on the
  form.
\n - Present your completed indemnity form at the registration desk
 .
\n - Medical advice: All competitors should consider advising their partn
er of any pre-existing medical conditions (such as diabetes, asthma, epilep
sy, susceptibility to anaphylaxis) that may require first-aid action on cou
rse. This should include a description of the symptoms, the required first-
aid action, and the location in their bag of any medication (such as sugar,
  ventolin, epi-pen, anti-histamines).

 \n
How to Get There\n
The Hash Hous
e is located on private property at 834 Forbes Creek Road.  To get there, m
ake your way towards Hoskinstown via Queanbeyan. Turn onto Forbes Creek Roa
 d. From there the road is unsealed and narrow but should be ok for 2WD cars
. Continue through Forbes Creek towards the National Park. There will be ro
gaine signs along Forbes Creek Road, as the road bends away at times. BEWAR
E OF THE WILDLIFE ON THE ROAD. \n
A google map is here (https://maps.app.go
 o.gl/CBEch9AMPWneMvre7).\n
 \n

h team will be issued with 2 wristbands and tags upon registration.\n
You w

tes and a small copy of the map to be used as a flight plan. We recommend t
hat you arrive at least an hour prior to the start of the event to allow en
ough time for final preparations and route planning. Each team must mark th
eir intended route on the flight plan and hand it in before starting.  As m
obile reception is poor, we will rely heavily on your flight plan if you ar
 e late/need help.\n
 \n
Map and Course Details\n
There will be one A3 map (
 445x320mm), 1:25,000 with 10 m contour interval. Magnetic north lines are m
arked on the map. Out of bounds areas are marked in pink/red shading. The a
rea is native bush. The altitude ranges from approximately 900 to 1200 m. \
 n
The map is printed on Teslin paper which is very tough and generally does
not need to be covered in contact. \n
There are patches of prickly weeds a
nd a few places where the bush is slower travel. There are also a few areas
where additional care should be taken as the ground is very rocky under fo
ot. These will be identified in the course notes.\n
 \n
Water\n
Please brin
g enough water for Hash House use and for at least 4 hours on course. There
are no water drops on course. It is also feasible to do loops from the HH
 to replenish your water.\n
 \n
Camping\n
There is no camping at the HH. The
closest official campground is at Mulloon Creek Campground, about 15 minut
es to the east (4WD recommended).\n
