 f Canberra where they got to explore an intricate network of footpaths and 
 playgrounds and the glorious views of the Brindabellas.&nbsp;Or they could

 Registration, Map Availability, Start Times</strong></span></p><p>The&nbsp;
 Metrogaine will commence by way of a mass start at 9:30am<strong>&nbsp;</st
 rong>on Sunday 4 August 2024, with a final briefing at 9:20am.</p><p>Regist
 ration will open at 8:00 am<strong>.</strong></p><p>To register, one person
  only per team to register and collect maps. That person will need to:</p><
 ul><li>Bring first aid kit, so that it can be checked; see below for what i
 t must contain</li><li>Bring one completed indemnity form per team member.<
 /li></ul><p><strong>Electronic scoring:</strong>&nbsp;As this event is usin
 g the Navlight system of scoring, each team member will be issued with a wr
 istband and tag upon registration.</p><p>You will also be given pre-marked 
 maps, control descriptions, course setter's notes and a small copy of the m
 ap to be used as a flight plan. We recommend that you arrive at least an ho
 ur prior to the start of the event to allow enough time for final preparati
 ons and route planning. Each team must mark their intended route on the fli
 ght plan and hand it in before starting.&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-size
 : 14pt;"><strong>Map and Course Details</strong></span></p><p>There will be
  one A3 map, 1:25,000 with 10 m contour interval. Magnetic north lines are 
 marked on the map. Out of bounds areas are marked in purple shading. The co
 urse setters notes and control descriptions have been printed on the back.<
 /p><p>The event runs through the streets and nature reserves of the Tuggera
 nong Valley with magnificent views of the Brindabellas. The hills on this c
 ourse can be steep in places, especially in the south-east section, and som
 e of the creeks can be scrubby and thick. As such, long pants are recommend
 ed. There are numerous 80km/hr roads criss-crossing the course – care will 
 need to be taken by all competitors. The map is printed on Teslin paper whi
 ch is very tough and generally does not need to be covered in contact.</p><
 p><strong>Water</strong></p><p>Please bring enough water for Hash House use
  and for at least&nbsp;<strong>3 hours&nbsp;</strong>on course. We have mar
 ked on the map shops and water fountains where you can replenish throughout

 t food (including warm soup) from 3pm. Some tables and chairs will be provi

 aneously get to within 5m of each control point.</li><li>All team members m
 ust punch their Navlight tags at each control to score points.</li><li>If a
  Navlight punch has failed, record the three letter code visible inside the
  end of the punch.</li><li>Competitors must not enter out-of-bounds areas;
