 rium track at Stromlo Forest Park accessed via Uriarra road. Please note th
 at Stromlo is a multi-use park and we do not have exclusive access to the t
 rails or roads. Secondly, paid parking is now in effect at the Stromlo main

  Park Event HQ on Dave Mcinnes Drive.</p><p>From the centre of Canberra, ta
 ke the Tuggeranong parkway south and take the Cotter Road exit west. Follow
  Cotter Road as it turns into John Gorton Drive. Turn left on Opperman Aven

 p><h2>Registration, Map Availability, Start Times</h2><p>The&nbsp;<strong>2
 024 Twilight in the Park </strong>event will commence by way of a mass star
 t at&nbsp;<strong>1800 sharp&nbsp;</strong>on Saturday 17 February, with a 
 final briefing at&nbsp;<strong>1745.</strong> Registration will open at <st
 rong>16:30</strong>.</p><p>To register and collect maps. Your team will nee
 d to:</p><ul><li aria-level="1">Bring first aid kit, so that it can be chec
 ked; see below for what it must contain, and</li><li aria-level="1">Bring o

 scoring</strong><strong>:</strong>&nbsp;As this event is using the Navlight
  system of scoring, each team member will be issued with a wristband and ta
 g upon registration.</p><p>You will also be given pre-marked maps, control 
 descriptions, course setter's notes and a small copy of the map to be used 
 as a flight plan. We recommend that you arrive at least an hour prior to th
 e start of the event to allow enough time for final preparations and route 
 planning. Each team must mark their intended route on the flight plan and h
 and it in before starting.&nbsp;</p><h2>Map and Course Details</h2><p>There
  will be one A4 map, <strong>1:20,000</strong> with 10 m contour interval. 
 Magnetic north lines are marked on the map. Out of bounds areas are marked 
 in pink shading. It contains mainly old cleared land with patches of old pi
 ne forest. The altitude ranges from approximately 500 to 700 m.&nbsp;</p><p
 >The map is printed on Teslin paper which is very tough and generally does 
 not need to be covered in contact. Gaiters or long pants are recommended as
  there are some patches of blackberries; however, these are easily avoided.

 e only navigational aids permitted are the maps we provide together with yo
 ur compasses.</li><li aria-level="1">Teams consist of 2 to 5 competitors an
 d must remain within earshot of each other at all times. All members must s
 imultaneously get to within 5m of each control point.</li><li aria-level="1
 ">All team members must punch their Navlight tags at each control to score 
 points.</li><li aria-level="1">If a Navlight punch has failed, record the t
 hree letter code visible inside the end of the punch.</li><li aria-level="1
 ">Competitors must not enter out-of-bounds areas; gates must be left as fou
 nd; stock must not be disturbed.</li><li aria-level="1">The organisers may 
 disqualify a team if it acts against these rules or against the spirit of t
 he event.</li><li aria-level="1">A team can retire a member at the hash hou
 se. This will finish that team's event. A new team can form but it must sta

  is printed on the map.</p><h2>Summary of Event Rules and Scoring</h2><ul><
 li aria-level="1">The only navigational aids permitted are the maps we prov
 ide together with your compasses.</li><li aria-level="1">Teams consist of 2
  to 5 competitors and must remain within earshot of each other at all times
 . All members must simultaneously get to within 5m of each control point.</
 li><li aria-level="1">All team members must punch their Navlight tags at ea
 ch control to score points.</li><li aria-level="1">If a Navlight punch has 
 failed, record the three letter code visible inside the end of the punch.</
 li><li aria-level="1">Competitors must not enter out-of-bounds areas; gates
  must be left as found; stock must not be disturbed.</li><li aria-level="1"
 >The organisers may disqualify a team if it acts against these rules or aga
 inst the spirit of the event.</li><li aria-level="1">A team can retire a me
 mber at the hash house. This will finish that team's event. A new team can 
 form but it must start with zero score.</li><li aria-level="1">Late Penalty
 : 10 points per minute (or part) late. Disqualification if more than 30 min
 utes late.</li><li aria-level="1">If teams score equal points then the firs
 t team home will have a higher rank.</li></ul><h2>Presentation and Awards</
 h2><p>Food and drinks will be available from 2030.</p><p>Certificates&nbsp;
  will be awarded to the winners of each category and the place-getters of m
 ost categories. This is dependent on final numbers and will be announced on
  the day. Presentations will take place around 20 minutes after the end of
